As a mom of two boys ages eight & five, I feel qualified to write this post. Little boys are kind of tough to buy for unless they’re super into something (Star Wars, Ryan’s Toy Review, specific sports team etc). Here is a roundup of gifts that I know my kids would love (and are getting this year!). I hate buying toys only to find out, they never get played with. These gifts are 100% getting used.
- A play kitchen. Most people think play kitchens are just for girls, but not me! I bought this exact kitchen for my littlest and he is constantly whipping up something delicious for us to test. This one has a unisex style and doesn’t look like a clunky in our playroom. In fact it matches the decor down there. Get it here for under $100.
- I feel like I always end up buying a bunch of smaller gifts and am stuck searching for “the big gift”. This crazy cart is SO fun for both of my kids. Get it here.
- Anything STEM works for most kids. Children are curious by nature and I love how cool these tabletop robotic kits are. Less than $15 works for me. Grab it here.
- Fancy Lego kits are awesome, but my little guys have a tough time putting them together. The “super awesome” kits are typically for ages 14+ and cost a couple hundred. Gonna be a no from me. A classic set of legos lets their imagination run wild without the frustrations of putting together one of the fancier (and outrageously priced) kits. $26 for a bucket of fun, sounds good to me. Get yours here.
- PlayDoh is also another classic no-fail. No matter how much PlayDoh we already have, they always want more. This set has tools, full size tubes and a storage tub for under $20. Get it here.
- A lava lamp will 10/10 have a wow factor on Christmas morning. Choose from a bunch of colors and you win Christmas this year for like $20. Get it here.
- Monster Jam Megalodon Storm all-terrain remote control truck. Dante (my 5 year old) has this at the very top of his list this year “Mom, it drives ON WATER!). Sold. Get it here.
- Light saber chopsticks. Enough said. I have to basically bribe my kids to eat, these are pretty much a guarantee that they will. Plus they come in a few different colors are are less than nine bucks here.
- Transforming electric scooter/bike might be the coolest thing on this list because its an electric scooter and a bike. It fold up small enough to throw in the trunk and take it wherever you want. A real life transformer. My kids are going to flip out. Get it here.
- iPad/iPod/iPhone chargers are a HOT commodity in our house. These cable protectors stop any kind of wire breakage and are SOOO stinking cute! They look like an animal is biting your device. They come in multipacks of a variety of animals so that way each kid could easily identify their charger. I kinda want one for myself. Get yours here.
