I had the pleasure of attending Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall Winter 2020 presentation this past weekend during New York Fashion Week. It was a significant event for me because it was the first show I’ve been to that I actually own pieces from the designer. Her leather biker jackets and purses are some of the best out there. I 100% fan girled at this one.
I went to the presentation with one of my favorite style influencers Danyelle of Fashionably Noble. Upon arrival at Pier 59 Studios, we were handed delicious pink berry dipped vanilla ice cream bars… you GUYS! Minkoff knows how to set the tone.
There was a seemingly endless flower wall as the backdrop to the event. The set was interactive and included women and children. One model as pregnant and another was nursing her baby while taking part in the presentation.
Children (wearing Minkoff’s designs of course) were playing on flower adorned swing sets, seesaws and of course smelling the roses.
The collection had “surfer California rock n’ roll” vibe for sure. Cotton candy colors, yin yang accessories and tie dye were notable. Soft fabric dresses topped with Rebecca’s signature edgy moto jackets were seen.
I bumped into Victoria Justice there which was pretty cool too.
