Um, yes you read that correctly.
I’m not calling this ice cream because it is thicker and creamier than ice cream. It freezes in about 5-6 hours and thaws to a delightful soft serve consistency in like 15 minutes. Did I mention that it’s stupid easy to make?
I will be the first to admit that I love a good kitchen gadget, I really do. However, I hate a bulky expensive piece of equipment I’ll never use more than a couple times a year. I do not own an ice cream maker. I also don’t pretend to be some kind of kitchen chemist, so I don’t eff with dry ice.
There are only four ingredients to this recipe and it makes a heaping loaf pan size container.
