It seems like the cosmetics industry is BOOMING with palette after palette. I’ve purchased my fair share of trendy palettes, but some are used daily and others just look nice on my shelf -ya know what I mean? Some palettes cost $50 plus. This is a lot to spend on a palette that is just going to collect dust. I am an art teacher, so naturally I love color. However, I tend to play it somewhat safe in the makeup department. I am not an experimenting teen (I wish!). I can not see myself rolling up to work or dropping of Dante to day care rocking glitter eyeliner and an electric blue lip (hello unicorn trend). I’m definitely lean toward more of a classic look. Teni Panoasion and Mario Dedivanovic are my favorite beauty gurus for this very reason. They stick to classic beautiful looks that enhance not overpower. I have created a round up of my favorite palettes that I think are the most wearable.
The Naked Palette by Urban Decay is the OG palette. This one (in my opinion) ignited the palette boom. For a very good reason, neutrals look fantastic on everyone. Worth the splurge.
Lorac Pro Matte Palette is smaller but I use all 8 shades on the regular. These colors are all matte, so I tend to use on the crease. The texture is super-soft and insanely pigmented.
BH Cosmetics Essentials Palette. This palette has less pigmentation which is perfect for those looking for a very natural look. At around $12 it’s not going to break the bank. Plus it’s huge!
Becca Cosmetics Ombre Nudes Palette is small but has everything you need. I recommend this one for travel. All matte, all beautiful.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Eye Shadow Palette. Cruelty-free goodness right here ladies and gents.
L’Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude 1. It’s a mouthful to say, but at drugstore prices, worth the attempt.
