I was sent a few of the Anastasia products used in this post (I wasn’t paid to write any of this), the rest of the products used I already owned. I’m a huge Anastasia Beverly Hills fan, so this post was a long time coming.
We all know that Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup is known for their brow products, but did you know that they started the liquid lipstick trend and have super luxe contour/highlight and eyeshadow products too?!
Here’s the look I created & posted on Snap Chat (FindingSilverLinings)
Wearable for everyday but glam enough to take you from day to-night.
Start with a blank canvas. I’m wearing my regular foundation & a little concealer under my eyes (after seeing these photos I could have probably used a little more). I gave myself a black winged liner and some black mascara.
I used Dip Brow in Soft Brown on the inner parts of my brows using a light hand and brushed it to soften the look and Brow Wiz in Medium Brown on the tails hahah the outermost parts of the brow. I’m not going the get too into detail with the brows because I’m working on a strictly brow post 🙂
Onto the face. I like to contour first. I used the Anastasia powder contour kit in light/medium.

The color fawn is a perfect match for my skin’s natural shadows. The contour powders are matte not shimmery at all which is exactly what you want in a contour product. It’s a cool greyish brown. I like to use an angled brush to contour my nose.
Use a little product at a time. You can always add more, but once you overdo it, it’s not easy to correct. Swipe it down both sides of your nose and a little under the tip if you want to. Use your fingers or a clean brush to soften the lines and blend it in a bit. What the heck is that face I made? Oh well. lol!
Then I contoured my cheekbones a little (not a lot). Using the same shade (fawn) and applied it from my ear to just before the apple of my cheek. It should be exactly where the shadow naturally appears. You just want to darken it a bit.
I blend in a circular motion with this brush, so there aren’t any harsh lines.
I love when a product does double duty. I used the shade Havana from the palette as a bronzer and applied it in my hairline, in the hollows of my cheeks and a little down my neck to keep things blended.
I apply this shade to my eye crease as a natural looking shadow.
Now for a highlight, I love the color sand from the same palette. It’s the only color with shimmer. I apply this to my cupid’s bow (that little “v” shape that your top lip makes). I use this highlight color on my eyelid as well instead of using shadow.
Anastasia makes amaaaaazing highlight powders in a variety of Glow Kit palettes. I have the Gleam kit.
I am wearing the shade Mimosa on my cheekbones. It has bronzy gold flecks in it. It gives the most gorgeous summer glow! It also looks beautiful dusted on the collarbone and shoulders.
I use the Anastasia eye shadow in the shade Bling (a peach color with a satin finish) to highlight a thin line down the bridge of my nose. I don’t like to use actual highlighters on my nose because I find it looks too shimmery almost greasy. This color is perfect. I also used a touch under my brow bone.
I darkened the crease with a little bit of the shade Denim Smokey. It looked super dark in the pan but ended up kind of sheer which I was happy about. The textures of these shadows are so blendable.
I lined my lips with a nude pencil and filled them in with Anastasia liquid matte lipstick in the shade Pure Hollywood (read more about my thoughts on this nude lipstick here).
The lighting is very different in each area of my house and it can change the look entirely. I always make sure I am blended well in a few different rooms. You may look just right in one room and then walk into a room with a ton of windows and suddenly you realize you shouldn’t have gone with a second round of bronzer. Here’s the same look under different light.

Thank you Tia! I can’t get enough of their stuff. It’s the first time I’ve used their shadows and dip brow. The textures are so perfect for blending!
