Hello beautiful readers! It’s been a really long time. I am FINALLY done with grad school and now have my Master’s Degree (woo hoo!) which means I now have my life back. Having time to study and complete a thesis with a newborn and toddler meant very little time to do much else, including blogging. It feels so good to be back to doing what I love!
So, let’s get caught up. Dante is now almost five months old and Max starts preschool today *sob*. Time is flying by!! I can’t believe I did not share Dante’s nursery until today. It is my favorite room in our home. Designing it was a challenge because it is the smallest room (besides the two smaller bathrooms).
I had an idea of what I wanted to do and made this Pinterest board. We didn’t find out the gender until Baby Dante was born so I stuck with a neutral grey palette.
I also made a moodboard for a boy’s room so I had an idea of what I wanted the room to look like.
Shades of cobalt blue, light blue and pops of metallics added a much needed dose of color. I went for a whimsical modern rustic feel. Here’s what I ended up with…
My favorite part of the room is the changing station. I mounted brackets onto crates that I picked up at Michael’f for about $15 a piece. I like the idea of the chalkboard labels too. To make tassel garland click here. I added tassels to a burlap flag banner that I scored in the Target dollar section. The bibs and ointment caddy is actually a plant stand from Target. I’m all about the repurpose.
It’s so great to be back! Missed you loves! Talk to you again soon 🙂
