I posted this on Instagram last night (see for yourself here) and got numerous requests to post zee recipe. So without further ado… here you go my fellow Nutella lovahs! 90 second Nutella mug cake. Yes you read that correctly. 90 seconds my friends. Mix a bunch of stuff in a mug, nuke it for 90 seconds and insert in pie hole.
This is not spongy or dry like other mug cakes. This is more like a Nutella gooey brownie cupcake. In other words, heaven in a minute and a half. (I found this from Tammilee’s blog and tweaked it just a bit).
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons Nutella
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon mini chocolate chips, peanut butter, or mini marshmallows (optional)
Directions:
Stir everything up in a microwave safe mug or ceramic ramekin until it has a smooth consistency (like brownie batter). Microwave for 90 seconds (or until it rises). Do not overcook this or it will be dry. Let stand for a few seconds because it will be hot. Enjoy!
This would be amazing with a dollop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
