Hello beautiful blog readers and happy December to you! It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is well underway. It just crept up this year, didn’t it?! I try not to be, but I am a last minute kind of chick. Last weekend, I had Max’s Christmas card photos taken. Let me preface this by saying that Max comes from a long line of Christmas lovers. No lie, my mom has a “Days til Christmas Countdown” that begins December 26th. She is Mrs. Claus. When I was little, I used to turn my bedroom into a gift wrapping service station for my family members. So you could understand my confusion when Max refused to smile for the 45 minute Christmas card shoot as the photographer snapped her camera. He actually was scowling. Look at this picture I took behind the scenes.
It’s kind of hilarious, unless you’re the one paying for the angry photos. This lady must have a magic camera because the final photos came out great! Here are some of my favorites…
So all in all, the photos went better than I thought. We also chopped down the tree. With a saw. Max was trying to man up and take the saw to “chop down du twee”. I was not as excited about that idea. Ah classic family photos…
Max loves tools. However, he is only allowed to play with toy tools. I know, I’m a mean mama. The good news is, he was allowed to participate in decorating. What is it about Christmas lights?
Max is amazed by our tree at night. We have been having picnics in front of the it every night after dinner.
He loves holiday baking (and cookie sampling) as much as me!
Have you decorated yet? Real tree or fake tree? Tell me all about your holiday season kick off 🙂

Thanks! He literally pouted for almost an hour. He was telling the photographer no. Fresh, fresh. Terrible twos are real. Hahah!

First let me start of by saying how HANDSOME your son is. I knew he was going to be beautiful because of what an amazing looking couple you and Mr. FSL however he is beyond!!! Those pictures look amazing, and for some reason he looks like a little GQ model. All grown! Secondly, I love your face in the tree cutting pic!! Lastly, I haven’t gotten into the Christmas Spirit as much as I usually do. I think as my first year being a single lady I am refusing to open my tub of holiday goodies and go through old
“couple” ornaments and stockings of me and my past. Is that bad? I have decided to get a wreath and throw a few bulbs in a glass dish? As much as I love giving and am doing my fair share in that, I can’t get into the rest. (Shameful but truthful.)

Thanks Lulu! Sometimes you have to face the ghosts of Christmases past in order to make room for the new faces of our future 😉 Thanks for stopping in Steph! Love ya girl.

Hiya! Great pics and your son is adorable! The pouty pics are just precious and the smiley, happy ones are always terrific. I’m slow to get into the decorating thing, but am big time into the Christmas Spirit.
