It is officially July which means 2 things. I am out of work and grad classes until fall, and bikini panic mode. Thanks to the wonderful world of Instagram, I have discovered some amazing fitness profiles. Aside from motivating quotes and perfect glutes, I have discovered Quest Nutrition bars. Click here to read about their quality standards (sea salt, whey protein, no sugar…) This is not a sponsored post, but if you’re from Quest and want to send some of these delicious suckers my way, feel free 🙂 I have tried just about every protein bar out there. Some of them taste like an Equal packet from all of the artificial ingredients, others tasted like a Snickers and had the sugar content to prove it. These are awesome. And when you bake them, you won’t believe you’re eating something good for you!
I cut one bar into thirds then molded each piece into a round-ish shape. I place them on tinfoil sprayed with pam and popped them into my toaster oven for 6-7 minutes. I was skeptical as to how these would really turn out. I mean c’mon, a cookie from a protein bar? Check out the texture though.
No lie, the third cookie didn’t even make it into the photo because I wolfed that sucker down before it hit the plate.
I have been experimenting with different flavors and have found some great new recipes to share this week. Enjoy guys!
Questions for you: Do you eat protein bars? What is your favorite kind?
