So last weekend was pretty perfect. I found cappuccino k-cups! And guess what else? They’re pretty good! Gevalia makes them. So I kicked off Saturday with a big ole mug of it.
Max wakes up full force. My little rooster. He wanted to ride his quad at 7 AM, so I fired up the new k-cup and walked behind my pj clad babe wizzing down the sidewalk.
Thank goodness for caffeine 😉 Ummmm, let’s see, what else… oh yeah. Our peach oriental poppies bloomed. And I am in love with them.
Gaaaaawd, look at that thing. Swoon! I wish they stayed bloomed as long as the rose bush that’s in our front yard. That is flowering almost all year around. I usually hate the rose bush because it is so sparse, but I have to admit that it’s looking kind of nice these days.
Before Max came along, I had to fight with Mr FSL for a few flower bushes. He doesn’t like “color” (gasp) in front of the house. He thinks it looks cheesy. If it were up to me, we would ONLY have color. But it’s an unspoken thing that outside is his turf to decorate and inside is my turf. He can have the bushes as long as I get to keep my chalkboard wall, ya know? I digress… Cut to a few years later and Max loves flowers. So since our baby has us wrapped around his chubby little finger, this happened. My husband bought home a ton of some pretty new stuff to add more color to our yard.
Hopefully this weekend will bring a new blog recipe (wait til you see this one guys!) and some family Father’s Day fun. Have a great one! Love you (cheesy grin)!

Isn’t it a sin to not have your yard screaming color?! 😉
