It’s March. The most dreary of all the months in New England. Cold & cloudy…bleh. Knowing that we are on the brink of Spring makes me even more impatient somehow. I think the retail world is on the same page as me because they aren’t waiting for flowers to bloom outside. Spring is in full swing in stores. Tribal prints and botanical designs are two trends I am loving. Sometimes just one item can revive a room. Here are my picks for 10 decor pieces that give me a bad case of Spring fever!

1. Pearl & Gold Round Mirror from Pier One Imports. I fell in love with this upon walking into the store two months ago. I have a total obsession with decorative mirrors. I’m not sure if it’s the sparkle that mirrors add to a room or the fact that they instantly make a room feel more spacious. This particular beaut is covered with shimmery capiz shell and tiny mirrored mosaic tiles in a floral motif. It’s on sale for less than $150. Um, I need it.
2. Branson Chandelier from Z Gallerie. This botanical themed pendant would look amazing in a little girl’s bedroom or in an off white bathroom.
3. French Louis XVI Accent Chair from Throne Upholstery via Etsy.com. Do I really need to explain the awesomeness?! The classic silhouette combined with the bright (Trina Turk) tribal print fabric and tough nail head trim makes this chair utterly swoon-worthy.
4. A punchy rug like this one from Rugs USA is a sure bet to shake the winter blues.
5. I usually don’t like wreaths, they’re a little “old lady-ish” to me but with a quirky twist, I’m all over it. This garlic wreath needs to be hung in my kitchen. The white papery texture of the garlic and the fresh greenery make me want to cook. That’s always a plus. How frikkin cool is this thing?!
6. Shibori Sofa from Anthropologie. Honestly I could just start a blog about my Anthro decor obsession. This sofa embodies laid back boho-chic. And I want to live on it.
7. Eivor curtains from Ikea. The quirky sketch style and the birds in trees definitely screams spring without screaming COLOR! Did I mention that these will run you $14.99 for a PAIR. Two curtain panels. Ikea has the best curtain deals hands down. I hate spending a ton of cash on window dressings.
8. A bright Moroccan leather pouf ottoman. As a mother of a toddler, I spend a lot of time on the floor with my son. This comfy style ottoman is a perfect addition to any living room or kid’s bedroom without it looking like kid furniture. Plus there are ZERO sharp edges 🙂
9. A pretty print for a shelf or gallery wall like this one from Jen Ramos (one of my favorite bloggers) would amp up the Spring factor in any room. Who can’t use a little extra love? At $9.95 this is a no-brainer.
10. Bright toss pillows will add a dose of seasonal color without major price tag commitment. This one from World Market has embroidered embellishment on the front and a cheerful tangerine on the reverse. Two looks for one. Win.
Add one or two of these picks to your home to add a breath of fresh Spring air and to enliven a room.
