As part of a school-wide fundraiser, Home Depot donated small. orange aprons. Lots of the little guys are running around like D-I-Yers in training. I asked the PTO prez a few questions about how the business donated these. She mentioned that they host free children’s workshops! I hopped online and saw exactly that.
I was moderately offended as a female D-I-Yer that they had 3 workshop categories. One for Do It Yourselfers (tile backsplash class, cabinet refinishing, updating a deck, etc…), one for women (how to make a flower arrangement) and one for kids. What’s up with that? Do yourself the favor and click that picture below.
The kids workshop looked really cool. I want to take my nieces to the next one.
I’m wondering if it would be worth my while to go to a cabinet refinishing one. Have you or anyone you know of gone to one of these free workshops? What are they like? Hands on? I’m so curious.
