Procrastinators fear not! Here’s a round up of some of my favorite and easiest FSL recipes. They are quick, simple & perfect for the holidays. Make one or two to bring over to the in-laws house on Christmas day (and earn some brownie points for bringing a dish everyone likes 😉 ). When I attend a party, I always bring either an appetizer, a dessert, or a festive adult beverage treat. Most people agree that you don’t need much else for a successful soiree.
First up, the apps.
Pepperoni and cheese bites. Yeah buddy! It’s made with pizza dough, string cheese & pepperoni. Too easy. Prep them the day before, and bake them before serving. Click here or click the image to get the recipe!
When in doubt, go Caprese. Caprese style is tomato, mozzarella cheese, and basil. Everyone likes this combo. These bites require no cooking and zero prep. You only need to assemble them. They look gorgeous on a plain white plate, plus they are Christmas colors! How festive 🙂 Click here or click the image to get the recipe.
These stuffed tomatoes and stuffed squash are always a crowd pleaser. I like to make these to bring to parties because they are healthy. I lightly adapted the recipe from the South Beach Diet Cookbook. You can use the stuffing recipe to fill peppers, zucchini, eggplant, whatever. This recipe is super versatile and packed with flavor. As far as desserts go, here are a couple of really easy recipes. The first doesn’t require baking and the second only has 3 ingredients. Totally doable. Perfect for last minute kind of peeps like me. I may be biased, because my family is Italian, but Nutella is king. Its rich and complex flavor gets me every time. Plus, um, it’s chocolate.
No bake Nutella cheesecake. I don’t know what else to say, but make this. It’s lighter than a traditional cheesecake, has an Oreo crust, requires zero baking, and hardly any prep time. Ka-Pow! Click here or click the image to get this recipe.
These cookies have been spotted all over Pinterest, and with good reason. You can get your warm homemade cookie fix by using only 3 ingredients. Click here or click the image to get this recipe.
Last but not least, the cocktails.
This Christmas sangria recipe I slightly adapted from Martha Stewart’s recipe. It’s cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove flavors mix with the warmth of Merlot for the perfect cozy sipper. Plus, it looks gorgeous. Click here or click the image below to get this recipe.
Nothing says holiday cheer like eggnog. These pudding shots are creamy, fluffy, and addicting. Be warned that everyone that tries one will be hunting you down for this recipe. Click here or click the image below to get the recipe.
