This is NOT a sponsored post. Although I wish I got paid to blog. Dear Crate and Barrel, feel free to pay me for my unbiased opinion or just send me some free stuff mmmkay?
So, I got the Crate and Barrel and CB2 (Crate and Barrel’s modern little sister store) holiday catalogs yesterday. Um, I swear I could buy something for almost everyone on my list. I usually think of their stuff as really nice, but too expensive for me to cough up the cash. I was actually shocked about the low the prices are for some pieces.
Here’s my round up of great gifts under $50…
Acadia cheeseboard $36.95. This thing is gorgeous. It’s about 2 feet long. This would look amazing to display cheese, pepperoni, & crackers for the impromptu guests. I’d give this to somebody that likes to entertain. Or somebody that likes cheese. Who doesn’t like cheese?!
Shesham wine rack $29.95. This wine rack is stackable, wood, and gorgeous. I’d gift this to the 20 something that just moved into their first place. In fact, I’d give two along with a few bottles of vino 🙂
Set of 25 cookbook bookmarks $5.95. I want this stocking stuffer for me lol! You can write your own notes about the recipe on them. There are so many things I love about this. I’d give this to the chef in the family.
Ditto 2-piece serving set $19.95. Um, these are gorgeous. I’d buy them as a host or hostess gift for Christmas dinner.
Fish hotel $25.95. I’d snag one of these for a niece or nephew. This is very cool. Throw in a couple of goldfish and bam! You’re their favorite aunt or uncle.
French kitchen pastry slab $49.95. This would look gorgeous on somebody’s counter top or kitchen island. I’d give this to the chef in the family. Who wouldn’t want to prep a chocolate souffle on a luxe marble slab?
Numi candle holders $4.95. That’s not a typo. Seriously. These are see through so they will coordinate with any decor. At under $5 a pop, I’d buy a bunch and cluster them along my mantle (if I had a mantle 😛 ).
11-Piece slate serving set $17.95. All 11 pieces under $20. I might have to buy this for myself. This is perfect for the entertainer, plus you can write on the slate with chalk! We all know how much I love chalkboard anything.
Fir wood vase $34.95. Natural materials work with any decorator’s style. The design is sleek and sophisticated.
Gold pig bookends $29.95 for the set. This would be a great pick for the bookworm in your circle of friends. These are so quirky and fun yet the metallic finish allows it to come off as grown up.
What shops are you loving this holiday season? Do you tend to buy gifts for others that you like for yourself? A little one-for-me-one-for-you is very doable at these prices!

Love this list! I’m really coveting that slate serving tray too, but I don’t have CB2 in Cleveland. Most of these items are going on my post-grad-school-move-out-of-my-moms-house wish list!
