How I’m feeling: Large and in charge! I gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks…yikes! Anything with salt is blowing me up like a balloon lately. As much as I hat my compression pantyhose, they are doing a great job of keeping The Cankles at bay after working on my feet (especially back to school night where I worked for almost 11 hours straight). I have either awful allergies or a cold. My nose has been clogged for a week which make me the crankiest chick around lately. I’m getting quite anxious about the arrival of this baby! We have chosen a name if we have a daughter. If we have a son, we are kind of stuck! We aren’t sold on any one name and it’s starting to worry me. I’d like to have that set going into this big event.
New and Exciting: The baby has started to “drop”. I have a little more room in the lungs and a lot more pressure in my lower belly. The doctor said I was 30% effaced on Tuesday. I go back every week from here on in. I can’t believe how close we are!! The baby’s room is finished until we find out if it’s a boy or a girl!
Rings Fitting Fingers: Tight
Belly Button Status: Smoothed out!
Cravings: Red ripe tomatoes! Anything involving Nutella.
Aversions: asparagus (still) Yuck! I’m wondering if I will ever like it again!
Baby is the size of: a honeydew melon!
The baby at 36 weeks:
- Baby’s getting closer and closer to being able to breathe on his or her own.
- The skin is getting smooth and soft and gums are rigid.
- Baby’s liver and kidneys are in working order.
- Circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too.
