That title wasn’t me, it was my hormones 😉
I’ve been wanting to do a major overhaul on our kitchen since we moved in. New cabinets, counter tops, stainless appliances and a back splash. All in good time my dear. I thought the least expensive way to update our kitchen would be to add a back splash.
Mr. FSL on the other hand thinks we have to do all or nothing, and since we have a little one on the way and new student loans, so he says it’s looking more like nothing.
{Insert evil laugh here}
I’m not 100% set on the color cabinets or counter tops I’d want to go with, so this would impact the back splash style choice. I need to do something now that is temporary and doesn’t cost a fortune.  I thought of stenciling it. Then I remembered that my 9-moths-pregnant-belly would surely be in the way for this tight squeeze of a paint project, not to mention my now nonexistent patience.
The other day I saw (and repinned) this:
It’s a vinyl decal that is made in the exact dimensions that you need. Rub it on the wall, and voila!
I’m in love. I got my sample in the mail two days ago and up it went.
What do you guys think? Should I take the plunge and order it? Attempt stenciling? Wait until I can afford a tile back splash?

I really like it. If it’s not too expensive, I say do it.

Looks great. You should go ahead and do it. If you don’t like it, you can always…some how, some way,…find another Mindy-way of getting your tile back splash in.

Haha yes! I like the way you word things 😉

OMG! DO IT!!!!!!!! I’ve been in love with that backsplash forever and have definitely considered doing it at our house, but it just hasn’t happened- too many other projects! Can’t wait to see it!
