The Pass It On Project is all about brightening someone’s day through handmade items.
The idea is simple. You receive two handmade items. One is yours to keep, the other is to pass on to someone who could also use some cheer. You then make two items and then send them along to a blog friend. Your blog friend then repeats. It’s the chain letter of home made DIY gifts 🙂
I found some D-I-Y awesomeness in my mailbox not so long ago from Michelle. She’s the witty, crafty lady behind the blog Decor and the Dog. Her blog is loaded with hand crafted home decor, oh yeah, and Ike. Ike is her child dog. Hers is one of my favorite blogs. I am over the moon that I was picked to be on the receiving end of The Pass It On Project. Check this out…
Oh, this girl knows how to get to me. I am a total sucker for packaging, so the fact that this gift came in a mason jar made me ecstatic. Not only is there a gift that she made, the jar will be used in my house and so did the attached recipe. I’m a little jealous of Michelle’s sewing skills. I thought I was the up and coming super star for Project Runway when I made a window valance by sewing a straight line. She wins.
Look at this fabric! Adorable and so appropriate for my sugar laden kitchen adventures.
Rocco either smelled Ike’s scent or was channeling his inner Strega Nona. You be the judge.
See the resemblance? Either way, it got weird.
I snatched it off of him, tied it around my ever-expanding belly & posed for a quick photo op.
Ignore the finger/belly prints on the mirror and compression pantyhose. Ya, I know, I’m a sexy piece.
I waddled into my kitchen, armed with my new recipe and apron. Here’s the recipe by the way (she even has cute hand made recipe cards!)…
Make this at your own risk. Crunchy, sweet, salty, buttery, nutty. This recipe made a ton of it. The crunch was gone in like 2 days. I wish I was kidding.
I’m spreading the love and passing it on. Does anyone want a handmade gift from me?
In the words of Michelle…
Leave a comment below if you’re interested in participating in the Pass It on Project. If there are more than one of you (I’m waiting for crickets on this one), I will use random.org to select a blogger that I will announce sometime next week.

That crunch looks delish!

To participate, do you have to have great art(s) & craft(s) skills? Because mine are truly appalling and I can’t sew… 😆
Mindy@FindingSilverLinings says
Nope! It could be anything. Check out Pinterest or MarthaStewart.com for easy ideas!

What if I don’t really blog anymore, but I still want to participate somehow?

That’s ok! Enter anyway 🙂
