How I’m feeling: Tired. Working out regularly (light weights). I’m starting to slow down a bit in the energy department. Pretty jolly. It must be the Santa-esque belly 😉
New and exciting: The baby has been crazy active lately! My parents got a chance to feel the little kicker on the 4th of July. The bump is getting bigger, so my “Friday’s Fruit” shirt has officially retired. I had to go buy a new one.
Random comments from people: “Hey Mindy! I’ve seen you around the gym lately and I thought you were just getting fat. I see it’s a baby in there now! Congrats” Thanks…I think, lol!
Scary stuff: We had a picnic for the holiday at our house. I was on my feet from 8:30 AM getting the house & food ready until about 1:30 AM when the last guests left. My ankles and feet were scary swollen. The next day was spent with my feet up until they looked normal again.
Highlight of my week: My friend Lindsey (Twinsie) and I went out for dinner, dessert, and to the movies. We ate at an amazing Italian restaurant that makes all of their pasta on premises. We wanted to share so we asked for separate plates. We ended up with two dinners each!!! We actually needed a bigger table.
If you’re curious, I had one scoop of seven layer icecream, a scoop of cookies n cream, fresh whipped cream and crushed oreos. Yeah, it was that good.
Cravings: Tomato sauce, Cheerios, cherries, potato chips, turkey bacon and pink cotton candy!
Aversions: asparagus (still), yogurt, grilled or dry or plain chicken (still).
Baby is the size of: a head of cauliflower
The baby at 25 weeks:
- It’s enjoying her new sense of equilibrium — he or she now knows which way is up and which is down.
- Baby’s growing more fat and more hair too!

Wow these weeks are flying by! I’ll be hitting we 23 tomorrow and I’m loving the increase in movement I’ve been feeling. I’m starting to get a sense this little guy likes to be awake at night! Uh oh! We are heading to Maine tomorrow for a little babymoon in Bar Harbor. I’m just hoping for some cooler weather up there!

Yep! Mine’s moving all the time! It’s very cool. It’s normal to feel more movement at night for some reason. Enjoy your trip 🙂
