Okay, well, not forcing me per se. He’s very convincing though. I don’t know what’s up with me lately. I don’t feel like putting laundry away. I have a pile mountain of folded clothes on my dresser. I look at it and immediately respond, “Nah”. I don’t feel like washing out Tupperware from lunch (plus it makes me gag a little), “Nah”.
But mostly, I’m finding that the laziness starts in the morning. Rocco is the culprit. He is the snuggliest ever in the morning. My alarm goes off at 6:50 AM (then again at 7:15 AM). I used to spring right out of bed. Lately, after alarm numero dos, I peel open one eye and see this staring back at me…
How can I say no when he’s doing the “Please stay in bed with me!” pose?!
He’s even been attempting to sleep straddling the Preggle pillow. I swear he is 1/2 human.
I get insanely jealous and contemplate calling out of work just so I can hang out with my sidekick all day.
Really. I imagine the conversation with my boss to go something like this:
Me: Hi, I won’t be in work today.
Boss: Why not? Is everything okay?
Me: Yes. Everything is fine. My dog is extra snuggly today and it’s just so toasty under our blankets. He’s holding me hostage in bed, and forcing me to eat a bowl of Cheerios every 2 hours. You understand right?
Boss: Why didn’t you say so?! Of course you can have the day off! In fact you should take the rest of the week off.
Yes, that’s how the conversation would probably go. For sure.
Even as I walk down the front steps to leave, he gives me the look. Bed head mustache and all.
Does your furry friend do this to you? Am I a weirdo because I think he sends me telepathic messages to stay home with him?

I cant totally relate! I have 2 cats a female and a male. I am not a morning person to begin with but after i get up and make the bed before i leave for work my female cat lays on the bed and i will lay next to her for 5 minutes and tell her how badly she makes me want to call into work! I know that sounds crazy of me but hey my baby girl has me whipped! I get jealous the cats get to sleep in and chill all day! And i am sure you are thinking how can someone get jealous of there cats but i do! Hell when my man isnt home i love hanging out with my furry roommates! I always have someone to nap with or watch tv with. Even typing this makes me wish i was home right now:)

Min I know EXACTLY how you feel…sort of. Peanut sits at the top of the stairs when I leave and watches me close the front door! he makes me feel guilty! As far as the “stay in bed with me” look..he’s more of the “get out of bed and play” type.
Rocco is the snuggliest!!! lucky you! lucky dog!

This post describes pretty much every morning in our house. Bauer does this to both me and the boy. We both contemplate skipping work to snuggle with the dog 5 times a week. Haha.

Ike and I ask Nate every morning if we can stay home together. The answer is always the same…

If I was your boss, I’d say that as well. I’ve actually been really lazy and unmotivated lately as well. Must be something in the air. 😉
