For Mother’s Day dinner, I volunteered to make some apps and a dessert. I made a balsamic tomato salad and easy caprese bites. For dessert, by request, I made 2 batches of sugar cookie apple cobbler.
If you don’t know me personally, then you probably don’t know that I am ALWAYS running late. So like usual, I was scrambling and had to make all of this in an hour. An hour seems like a long time, but when you have to core and cube 10 apples, it’s not.
I wasn’t panicked because I had this! It cores apples and pears with one push. I got it from Pampered Chef, it was under $5, I use it ALL the time. I look creepy with my hot pepper apron and grin. Don’t be alarmed. I just get excited about awesome gadgets.
Anything that cuts down on prep time or cooking time is my kind of tool.
What is your favorite gadget that cuts prep time in half? Share!

That apple corer & peeler thing is my 2nd favorite one. It’s such a time saver when you’re making pies, tarts, cobblers, and other stuff.
My favorite kitchen gadgets are tied: my blender and my KitchenAid mixer that my Grandma gave me.

I love my kitchen-aid too!

My MIL got me that same little gadget and stuck it in my Easter basket. I think she used to cringe watching me cut apples 🙂

My mom had an apple gadget that vice-gripped on to the kitchen table and it spiral sliced, cored, and peeled it lol! We needed to crank it. I’m not crazy into apples, so this one works just fine for me 😀
