I don’t mean travel like that one time you drove to your Crazy Uncle Phil’s to house sit like 3 states away with your college roommate and you guys though you were globe-trotters. She travels to far away places. Like awesome ones. Morocco, South Africa, Buenos Aires, and Bali to name a few. Check her travel resume out here. One day, I was drooling over her blog and saw this posted:

So I did what I usually do when I see something this swagtastic being raffled off. Rattle off something like “I know I never freakin win this things, but I loooooove this and can’t live without it, so I’m entering anyway”.
A week later I popped back on to her blog and saw this (minus the red writing): 
I was way excited and called, tweeted, and texted everyone I knew so I could tell them that I just WON 5 bracelets from INDIA! Yes. I know that’s a little dramatic but it felt appropriate at the time 😉 .
Here they are and in the possession of yours truly (insert cheesy grin here).

When I was in middle school, ages ago, I was at JC Penny with my mom and it was the last day of this “pick a random key if it opens the chest you win a prize” deal, so the guys let us pick as many as we wanted. We found three keys that didn’t match the dozens other, and sure enough they opened the lock. Inside were envelopes and you had to randomly pick one and there was a slip inside to tell you what you had won (it was all jewelry displayed on the front). What I really wanted- a turquoise ring- is what I pulled out! It was so exciting. I’ve never actually worn the ring, but I still have it! I haven’t won anything since then!
