Saturday was our last scheduled ski and snowboard day. After 5 days straight of intense 9AM to 4AM, I was all set with conquering day 6. Plus, the weather was white-out blizzard conditions. No thanks. My girl Kelly & I dropped the guys off and drove ourselves to the Cliff Spa at Snowbird. It had rave reviews and celebrity clientele. We completely splurged. We each got an hour massage and an hour spa manicure.
Yes they had a rooftop heated pool. Yes, that’s awesome. No, we were not going outside in freezing snow conditions to get in it. It was nice to look at though 😛
The spa was eco-industrial with a touch of zen in its decor which I love!
We walked in and the front desk gave us cushy spa robes and slippers as the receptionist gave us a tour. She led us to the locker rooms to get changed. Sweet!
We grabbed some jasmine tea from the tea bar and made our way to the solarium which overlooked the mountain.
After our massages, we went to the locker room, grabbed our Kindles, and plopped back down and sipped some more tea.
LOL! I look delirious!
As if we weren’t indulgent enough, we decided to order room service and have it delivered to us in the solarium. We were out of control. We ate our organic chicken sandwiches on freshly (still warm) baked rolls with hand cut french fries in our robes and giggled at ourselves the entire time.
After lunch, we made our way back to the locker room to shower off the grease from the massages. As soon as we turned the corner to the showers, we were face with the completely transparent glass door to the sauna. Now, I know it’s probably normal for most people to scurry about in a locker room in the buff. We’re all girls in there. No biggie. But this lady was laying down and completely sprawled out right in front of the door. Am I a weirdo for thinking she’s cray cray for parking her body directly in everyone’s line of vision?
Anyhoo, the shower stalls were hardly stalls. They were bigger than my entire master bathroom. Feeling squeaky clean and pleasantly grease-less, we moseyed into the salon for our manicures. I chose the “oolong and lime” aromatherapy. Ohh la la!
Needless to say, this day was over-the-top-indulgent, but so much fun.
Did you ever do a girl’s spa day? Was it over the top? Think spa days are a waste of $$? What is your favorite spa service?

You deserve a totally indulgent
Day! I don’t think it’s a waste of $ at all. Money well spent!

I love spa days! For my bachelorette party, a group of girls and I went to a spa for some R&R. It was wonderful and so much fun.
