Challenge question: At what point did you feel most satisfied with your life?
Probably the first night we spent in our new house.
(That was what our house looked like before we bought it. As soon as the snow melts, I’ll put up some fresh shots minus that giant tree in front)
I felt like a new woman. I was married to a great guy, I had my career, my dog, and a house. I felt very free. Like I was finally going to start my life. I lived with my parents forever. I loved living home, but I never considered myself an adult until I was financially independent.
We moved into his parents house for a short time after we got married. It felt so good to in my shower, to cook dinner in my kitchen, to watch a movie in my own living room. Since I moved out, I have gotten closer to my mother.
Actually, I am more satisfied today than I was then. Because I don’t have the gut wrenching feeling of “Can I really do this? Can I afford this house & all of the responsibilities that come with it? I’ve never done this before” like I had that first night. I don’t feel as overwhelmed.
I’m a happy girl 🙂

Good post! It’s nice to remember this feeling when all of the grown-up stuff starts to get you down!
