If you know me, you know I’m a shoe girl. I know that you can take a boring outfit and kick it up a notch by adding a metallic accessory.
Everyday jeans made special by shimmery gold flats:
Well, I like to apply this fashion “Do” to home decor. In my dining room that has all wooden furniture on hardwood floors, a few metallic objects take it from a bit boring to something a little more special.
As many of you know, I am broke thrifty. This financial “situation” breeds creativity. I looked no further than my cabinets and found these babies.
I picked them up at the dollar store a few months ago because I liked the sleek modern shape.
Next, I had to find something interesting to fill the cylinders with. I remembered these silver “disco ball beads” that I had strung all over our house for the holidays.
I love these beads! They remind me of a sparkly necklace. Hmmm, jewelry for the house! Oh my poor husband! Into the tubes they go!
I had them all over the house and the table is where I like them best. When you group like objects together, it creates a sense of rhythm and unity. I put them in a line to mimic the elongated shape of the table. I placed them on a long black runner so the silver pops against it.
After seeing these photos and living with this configuration for a few days, I got rid of the black fabric and left them on the nekkid table (pics to follow later). My apologies for the blurred shot. My husband was waiting for me in the car (it was date night Friday!).

Challenge question…
What are your views on religion?
I think people need to believe in something. Whatever fuels you to stay on the right path. I was baptized, made my first communion, made my confirmation, and got married in a Roman Catholic church. *confession (no pun intended)* I don’t attend church every Sunday. I studied many different religions besides the one of my own church such as Bhuddism, Islam, Taoism, and Judaism. I have adapted my own sort of ecclectic religious beliefs. I vote believe what you want to believe. Don’t judge other people for their beliefs.

Agree with what you said on religion. Especially this part…I vote believe what you want to believe. Don’t judge other people for their beliefs.
And I too believe its important to believe in SOMETHING.

I wish I could dig shoes but I am missing that gene. Give me flip flops all the time and I’m a happy gal!
I love that idea for the table tops, so simple yet classy and pretty. Thanks for sharing!!
