Since bikini season is over, I am celebrating the only way I know how to. With carbs. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a recipe worth sharing. This one. THIS ONE. This recipe is worth sharing. I know I’m not alone in my Nutella infatuation.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen this banana bread disappear over the course of 24 hours. It’s really moist and super-dense. I decided to make this because I had a few bananas that had gotten too ripe. I hate throwing out food. It’s like, my biggest pet peeve (aside from littering). So I turned our three black bananas into the most delicious comfort treat. This recipe serves 12.
Nutella Swirled Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 very ripe bananas (mashed)
- Nutella (as much or as little as you like)
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Grease 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir wet mixture into dry mixture; stir just to moisten.
- Pour half of the batter into greased pan. Use a spoon to drop blobs of Nutella randomly then swirl with a knife or toothpick. Add the rest of the batter and repeat blobbing and swirling the Nutella.
- Bake for one hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
