I swear my experience at New York Fashion Week keeps getting better each time I attend. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have caught my stories that heavily documented my #OOTD’s. If you didn’t get a chance to see the photos & videos, I saved them on my highlights. When designing an ensemble -especially for NYFW, a ton of thought goes into each detail. Clothes, hair, makeup, shoes, bag, belt, and jewelry. I was fortunate enough to once again team up with David Alan Jewelry to complete my looks (click here to see the pieces from last year). His work is truly masterful. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is like nothing I’ve ever seen. From the uber luxurious engagement rings to the funkiest ear jacket, this atelier has something for everybody.
Look #1
Agenda:
- Private viewing of the Dahlia Razzook collection at the Plaza Hotel
- Celeb studded red carpet runway Style Fashion Week event at Cipriani
- A late night bite to eat
- Nightcap at speakeasy bar Bathtub Gin
It was a very full evening with a funky night time vibe. I paired my navy jumpsuit, white fur and cognac ostrich Gucci pumps with two rose gold horn pendants with pave diamonds and a killer cocktail ring.
Check out the detail shots below. Needless to say, I had a tough time giving this sucker back.
David’s signature setting has diamonds in an “X” behind the beautiful stone (see below, pick jaw up off the floor). You can actually see the diamond X through the stone -as if it needed more visual interest.
Look #2
Agenda:
- Simply NYC event (I’ll be posting about that soon too!)
- Son Jung Wan runway show at Spring Studios (That post is coming next week!)
- Helen Anthony runway show at Industria
I needed to be comfortable and on trend. I wore a vintage faux fur coat that was my grandmother’s from the 50’s. My grandfather bought it as a gift from a Manhattan boutique. I paired faux leather leggings with a classic white collared shirt topped with my favorite mesh sports bra by BoomBoom Athletica. I’ve teamed up with BoomBoom before (see that here) and their pieces are SO well made and SO pretty that I wore the bra on top and was complimented on it all day long. Click here for a link to the bra.
As far as jewelry goes, I wore a large black quartz ring set in palladium with two black diamonds, slick diamond “stiletto” earrings (for obvious reasons) and a stack of pinkie rings that had the prettiest dangle charms.
Look #3
Agenda: A night on the town dinner and dancing at Vandal
I was going for feminine, dark and edgy. I wore a black Zimmermann lace romper with sky high YSL pumps and my fave JLEW clutch topped with a black Jill Sander trench.
For jewelry, I wore the black quartz cocktail ring above and the stacked pinkie rings from earlier that day. I swapped out the stiletto earrings for one single ear jacket. You guys I want to pause for a moment to appreciate the badass-ness of this piece.
David sneaks a pink diamond into each of his pieces. That is a trademark I can get behind! Can you spot the pink?! #dead.
