Confession: I made these because sometimes baking goes wrong. Let me explain.
So, last week we had an unexpected dinner guest. When we have company over for dinner, I feel like there should be dessert at the end. Even if it’s something small, it’s nice to finish with something a little sweet.
Like I said, the guest was unexpected, so I didn’t have time or special ingredients on hand. I had an emergency boxed brownie mix stashed in my cabinet, so I followed the package directions and popped it in the oven.
Patience is not my strength. I didn’t allow them to cool before I tried to cut them. They completely fell apart.
So I did what I usually do when semi-disaster strikes, I had to come up with a plan b. What the heck was I going to do with this dish of squishy brownie crumbs? Roll them up into bite-sized truffles, duh! There is no science to it, just roll into balls and dust with powdered sugar. Oh hi, I made these “Brownie Truffles” on purpose 🙂
