This recipe may be the one to send me over the edge.
It was a pretty big day over at our house yesterday. Max had his first (and second, third and fourth) taste of marshmallow fluff. See? I told ya. Big things. Look at the expression on this kid. Focused. And sad because he realizes that mama is putting the lid back on the jar.
Yes his shirt says “Prosciutto”. What?! We’re Italian and we heart food.
I have been itching to make some kind of s’mores-ish dip for a while. The last one I whipped up was my Disappearing S’mores Cookies (click here for that recipe).
Actually, I wanted to use that new Hershey’s chocolate spread to make it authentic campfire style. But my grocery store didn’t have it. So I had a moment in the peanut butter aisle. You guys know what I’m talking about right? That moment when you get an idea for a recipe that make you have a discussion with yourself aloud…
“Aw man, they don’t have the Hershey’s.”
(starts walking away pouting)
(gets an idea)
(reverses down the aisle)
(stares at Nutella)
“Yes! That’s what I’ll do. Oh wow. This is gonna be ridiculous. I need this, like now.”
(odd stares from strangers and cricket sounds)
So, yeah. I got some fluff, graham crackers, mini marshmallows and some Nutella and raced home because clearly I am a five year old that can not wait to shove this concoction in my pie hole.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup marshmallow fluff
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- mini marshmallows to cover the top of dip (approx 1 handful)
- graham crackers to dip with
Plop 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff in the bottom of your oven safe dish (I used a 6′ round one). Layer the Nutella on top then add the rest of the fluff. Top with mini marshmallows. Place under the broiler until marshmallows turn golden brown and serve with graham crackers!
