I used to hate the fall as a kid. I think because it meant going back to school and getting dark earlier. The earlier the street lights went on, the less time I was playing outside with my friends.
Unfortunately and fortunately, those days are long gone. I am much older now but I’ve grown to love autumn. Crisp air, beautiful foliage, soft sweaters, scarves, pumpkin flavored everything…I could go on and on.
Max and I went for our first walk together recently. He was clearly thrilled about it.
That swaddle blanket is by Aden & Anais. We got it as part of a set of four. They were one of our favorite gifts. The blankets are lightweight, breathable, and big enough to swaddle Max without unraveling. Plus the patterns are awesome. Anyway…
Well, I was psyched at least. It felt so good to be outside in the fresh air! Look at the gorgeous colorful trees on our street! It really was a picture perfect fall day for baby’s first walk. I gave him the grand tour of the neighborhood.
Yesterday I was running on much more sleep than usual because Max fell asleep right after each feeding in the night. Usually, he thinks the wee hours of 2:00 to 5:00 AM are time to be wide awake and par-tay. I chugged 2 cups of pumpkin spice coffee and browsed Pinterest for a few moments. It’s the little things like this that I took for granted before becoming a mommy. I came across a pin with some great ideas and tips for chalkboard lettering. Click here to check that out.
Since the time that I was 9 weeks pregnant, I have kept our chalkboard wall blank so I could take weekly belly pics of my growing bump.
Now that baby has arrived, I can jazz up our kitchen again! Yay for free decorations 🙂

I love your chalkboard art! Looks fantastic! I love the fall too. We are pretty much in to winter around these parts though. All the leaves have fallen and e got a little bit of snow a few days ago.
Us too. Lol! The day after I posted this, we got like 6 inches of snow!
