Happy Autumn!
Nothing says Fall like pumpkin. I love me some pumpkin pie. It’s one of those desserts that I can’t stop eating once I’ve started.
I saw this recipe on Pinterest and knew I was making it:
I saw the ingredients, and knew I could make it a little more waistline friendly (you know, just in case anyone has the same pumpkin pie addiction as me). My nephew’s football team had a tailgate party yesterday. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to test out this dip. It is creamy, fluffy, light, and gives you that warm autumnal feeling. Plus, you can eat lots of it without feeling like you’re packing on the holiday pounds already. Oh yeah, it only took me like a minute to make from start to finish. Nice bonus. If you have these basic pantry items lying around and unexpected guests come over, you will impress with this “Oh I just whipped this up” dip.
Ingredients:
* 1 tub of fat free whipped topping (such as cool whip)
* 1 can of pumpkin
* 1 packet of vanilla fat free instant pudding (or fat free/sugar-free)
* 1 T ground cinnamon
Directions:
Mix everything together until smooth
Serve with apple slices, vanilla wafers, ginger snaps, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, cinnamon sugar pita chips…MMM! A warm chai tea would be pretty nice too.
What’s your favorite Fall flavor? Have you been pinning Autumn-ish recipes like crazy too?
