I made these for my baby shower centerpieces. People have been texting me for the recipe for the past month. I’m not taking the credit for these little bites of heaven. My buddy passed this recipe along. Thanks Tina 🙂 So here it is ladies and gentlemen. The glorious, magical, wonderous, NO-BAKE Oreo “Cake” Pop recipe…
Crush the Oreos in a food processor, then put them in a large bowl with a block of softened cream cheese. Mix well. I used a cookie scoop to keep them uniform.
Roll into 1″ balls and place on a tray lined with waxed paper, then put into the fridge for about 5 minutes.
Melt a little chocolate. Dip lollipop sticks in to chocolate (about 1/2″).
Put a stick into each Oreo ball. This will prevent your lollipop sticks from sliding out when you get to the dipping step.
Pop these babies back into the fridge for about 10 minutes to firm up. Melt chocolate and add in tiny pieces of paraffin wax to make the chocolate thinner. You don’t need a lot of paraffin, or even at all. For some reason, the white chocolate is just too thick.
Dip each Oreo ball into the chocolate covering completely. While chocolate is till wet, sprinkle on your garnishes.
Allow chocolate to harden completely.
Store in the fridge if you aren’t serving them that day.
This recipe will make 25 – 30 pops
Ingredients:
a package of Oreos
a block of cream cheese (softened)
a bag of Wilton’s candy melts (I’m sure you can use any kind you like)
paraffin wax (optional)
garnishes (coconut, sprinkles, melted chocolate in a different color, nuts, etc)
lollipop sticks
waxed paper
Directions:
Crush the Oreos in a food processor, then put them in a large bowl.
Add the block of softened cream cheese. Mix well.
Roll dough into 1″ balls and place on a tray lined with waxed paper, then put into the fridge for about 5 minutes.
Melt a little chocolate.
Take the Oreo balls out of the fridge.
Dip lollipop sticks in to chocolate (about 1/2″) and put a stick into each Oreo ball.
Put them back into the fridge for about 10 minutes to firm up.
Melt chocolate and add in tiny pieces of paraffin wax to make the chocolate thinner.
Dip each Oreo ball into the chocolate covering completely.
While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on your garnishes.
Allow chocolate to harden completely.
Store in the fridge if you aren’t serving them that day.

Going to make these cake pops for our gender reveal party that is Star Wars themed – so they will hopefully be my Death Stars. How long do you think they will last in the refrigerator? A couple of days?
😛
Mindy@FindingSilverLinings says
I think a couple of days

Can these Oreo Cake Pops sit out for a while, do they melt? Trying to figure out bake sell stuff!
Mindy@FindingSilverLinings says
They don’t melt. I wouldn’t want them sitting out for like 12 hours if it’s warm out since they have cream cheese in them, but they should be fine for a bake sale.

Can you tell me what size package of Oreos you used and if they were plain or double stuff?
Mindy@FindingSilverLinings says
I used 14.3 ounce package regular. But I think double stuff would work too
