Remember when I told you that we bought a recliner/glider/”man-chair”? Well, we didn’t stop there. Our “shabby chic” AKA hand-me-down table and four chairs in our eat in kitchen were starting to look a bit too shabby and a bit less chic. It was pretty cramped with just me & my husband at a normal week-night dinner. There was a small chip in the glass (not safe for a new baby) and I hated cleaning the fingerprints off of it.
Me being the hoarder re-purposer that I am, this set now happily lives on our back deck 🙂
I always wanted a counter height table because I like that you can informally hang out by it (standing) for parties if we wanted to. We needed something that will seat at least four comfortably.
We found a table that was simple and classic enough to keep up with my ever changing decor decisions. There is a leaf that is stashed underneath it to turn the table into a 60″ x 60″ square. Plus, it’s tall enough so that a high chair will put baby at eye level with us for our dinner time convo (which I love).
It has a modern farmhouse vibe to it. The little grooves aren’t too many, too narrow or too shallow to clean efficiently (which is a must).

Ooo, I like! I was so glad to get rid of our glass table. I can only imagine a glass table with a kid. Ew.

totally LOVE the new table and your old one looks perfect outside! So, enjoy the new table inside, but make sure to light some candles on the old one and enjoy an outdoor dinner!!!
