Blogging has introduced me to some pretty amazing people and their wonderful ideas. Click on any of the links to the right in the side bar and you’ll see what I mean. Michelle from Decor & The Dog has so many amazing ideas. She introduced me to picnik.com as a free photo editing website. I fell in love with it. It was pretty much dummy proof. I say was because on April 19th, picnik closed down their site. Boo! After whining about it publicly, on Twitter mostly, Michelle responded with “I hear picmonkey.com is pretty good”.
Well guess what? It is. Picmonkey.com is free and user-friendly. I never got paid to write a post, although if picmonkey wants to send me wonderful things for this post, I’ll have my people call your people 😉 . I really just love the software. It’s not as fancy as Photoshop of course, but I just needed basic stuff that didn’t require reading a phone book sized manual or college course. Thanks for the great suggestion Michelle!
Here’s a quick example of something I whipped up in like 3 minutes.
