If you were not aware, I gave up chocolate for Lent. Lent ends on Easter Sunday (2 days ago). I consider chocolate to be one of the main food groups. This, needless to say, was extremely torturous. But, I tested my will power and I did it! I didn’t even cheat on Sundays (like my grandmother says it’s okay to do).
I celebrated the end of my chocolate fast by eating Nutella Rice Krispy treats for breakfast on Easter morning đ .
I found this recipe at stickygooeycreamychewy.com! (I love that name by the way!). And let me just say, woah. What a recipe!!
I made 1 1/2 batches of these.
Here’s how I did it…
I started with 3/4 stick of butter
I cut the butter into pieces and put them into a large non-stick pot over medium heat.
While that melted, I measured out 6 cups of mini marshmallows and added them to the melted butter.
Keep stirring them until they are completely melted.
Remove from heat, then I stirred in an entire 12oz jar of Nutella until completely mixed in.
.
Add 8 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to this chocolatey goo. (I had to use 2 huge measuring bowls full!)
*TIP* spray your spoon or spatula with non-stick spray before this step!
Stir stir stir! Keep going until evenly coated.
You can put the mix into a greased glass dish, or do what I did.
Spray muffin tin with non-stick spray.
Fill with mixture using a spoon coated with non-stick spray.
Allow to fully cool eat a few warm & gooey just to test them out first!
They’re ready to serve when fully cool.
**WARNING**
These are highly addictive! They will make you crave them in the day, and dream about them all night. (Side Note: I polished off 4 of these while I typed this post. Not  kidding.)
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
Do you have a Nutella recipe? Please share the love!!
Have a delicious day!

I wish I knew of this recipe earlier. I had bought some nutella, and I just didn’t know what to do with it. It was so thick and sweet, that I eventually just tossed it out. But this looks good. I also had this rice crispy treat thingy that someone made, but it was dipped in peanut butter and then in a chocolate sauce. It was so good. Maybe the nutella could be used in place of the peanut butter?
